Colour Pairing & Occasions
Nail colour is personal — these are starting-point suggestions, not rules. Tell your nail tech what you love and we'll help you land on the right shade.
Office / Everyday
Understated shades that read as polished in any meeting, worn with tailored neutrals or a crisp white shirt.
Date Night
Soft, romantic pinks that pair well with a slip dress or a simple gold necklace.
Events & Parties
Jewel tones that photograph beautifully — a natural match for a cocktail dress or statement earrings.
Night Out
Bold enough to stand out under club lighting — pair with black, metallics, or your boldest outfit.
Holiday Season
Rich, festive tones that suit reds and greens on the table and glitter on the dance floor.
These are styling suggestions, not rules — a wine red or bright coral looks great on plenty of people outside its "typical" undertone. Nail Care & Aftercare
Simple habits between visits keep your gel or SNS looking fresh and your natural nails healthy underneath.
Making It Last
Gloves on for water and chemicals
Dishwashing, cleaning and gardening are the top causes of early lifting. A pair of rubber gloves protects the seal around your gel and keeps hands from drying out.
Don't use nails as tools
Opening cans, peeling stickers or scratching labels puts pressure on the tip and edges where gel is thinnest. If a corner lifts, come back for a proper fix rather than picking at it.
Keep hot baths short
Prolonged heat and soaking softens gel and weakens its hold. Quick showers are fine — just dry hands well afterwards.
Cuticle & Hand Care
Never cut your cuticles at home
Cuticles seal the skin around your nail and help keep bacteria out. Gently push them back after a shower instead — we'll tidy them properly at your next visit.
Cuticle oil, daily
A drop massaged in each night keeps the nail plate flexible so it resists chipping. Hand cream after every wash does the same for the skin around it.
Soak once or twice a week
Ten minutes in warm, soapy water softens cuticles and keeps the surrounding skin comfortable between salon visits.
Do
- Wear gloves for cleaning and washing up
- Moisturise hands and cuticles every day
- Book a proper soak-off if you want gel removed
- Come back promptly if a nail lifts or chips
Don't
- Pick or peel gel off yourself — it takes healthy nail with it
- Cut or trim your own cuticles
- Use nails to open, scrape or scratch things
- Leave lifted gel for weeks before getting it looked at
When to come back
Most clients rebook every 2–3 weeks — nails grow enough in that time that the gel starts lifting away from the base, so it's the sweet spot for a fresh-looking refill. If your nails feel stressed after a few fills in a row, a short one to two week break lets them recover before your next set.
